Hobart and William Smith Colleges

September 22-23, 2017 (Friday and Saturday)

NYCAS 2017 is here! Click here for the conference program.

Attention drivers! If you’re driving to Geneva and staying at a local hotel, please be on the lookout for other NYCAS attendees who may be flying in, and offer a ride if you can. We’ll be running shuttles as well (Click here for shuttle schedule). Remember, if you use Twitter, use the hashtag #nycas2017 to send a note out (e.g., #nycas2017 I’m leaving the Ramada and have two extra seats!)

Geneva is a small town and everything is pretty walkable. There are also several taxi options in town.

Hobart and William Smith Colleges, in conjunction with the New York Conference on Asian Studies, are excited to host the 2017 NYCAS annual conference. The 2017 conference theme is “Consuming Asia.”

NYCAS is the largest regional conference of the Association for Asian Studies (AAS). Each year, the conference attracts emerging and established scholars of Asia from New York and neighboring regions for two days of intellectual exchange and professional fellowship.

The Hobart and William Smith Colleges campus is located in the heart of New York’s Finger Lakes region, convenient to Rochester, Syracuse, and Ithaca airports and to the New York Thruway.
